Never Let Your EMOTIONS Overpower Your INTELLECT
A man is an
emotional being. His ability to express and feel emotions can be considered as
his power but only when he knows how to balance emotions with intellect or I
would rather state that he must know how to save his intellect from getting affected
by the emotions.
There can be
many situations in life where you will face a very strong charge of emotions.
It may be love or hatred; it may be anger or kindness. If you scroll back your
memory you will find number of incidents where you felt such strong emotions
and surrendered your intellect i.e. your sense of logical thinking to the
situation and lost control over the things.
Save your
intellect to be able to take right action or sometimes to take no action at all
to maintain the situation on its Minimal Destructive level.
You may have
someone around you having any habit that affects you in a negative way always because
of which you may feel extremely upset. You react to it even after knowing that
it will not help instead it will make the situation even worse. At the end you
find yourself regretting for all the undesired mess you have invited. Don’t forget that Feeling and emotions are temporary but the actions we take under
their influence certainly leave permanent marks in life.
Identify such situation in your life which you are facing repeatedly
and not able to handle them with calmness. Think
logically keeping aside all your emotions if you can control the situation for
betterment by reacting to it or your reaction is making it worse. Keep reminding your mind while facing
the situation that what you must not do. For example if you raise your voice in
anger keep it low, if you indulge yourself in argument to prove your point don’t
do it. It will save your mental and physical health.
You certainly
cannot avoid some problems but you can save yourself by behaving in a sensible manner.
Your intellect can help you in doing so and can protect your soul from unwanted
hurt. This doesn’t required any high level meditation practice but only constant reminder from your
intellect that you are not going to react in effect of emotions to any
situation .
When we feel
strong emotions we start over imagination to blind our intelligence. If you
relate it to your daily life you will find number of examples.
Keep applying
the power of intellect and you will find you have started decreasing the complications
in life. There is no rocket science; it’s just a matter of knowing that your
life should be guided by your intellect not by your emotions.
