Bite your Bitterness

In the journey of healing and personal growth, we encounter fascinating discoveries. Over the past two days, I grappled with managing my routine, feeling a surge of negative emotions. While I couldn’t pinpoint the exact cause—whether workload or low energy—I noticed myself behaving coldly and bitterly despite my efforts to avoid it.

Introspection is my compass, guiding me toward authenticity and kindness. As I delved deeper, I realized that my sour mood stemmed from inner bitterness. I was fixating on reasons to feel frustrated and angry. Regardless of the cause, I recognized my responsibility to handle myself maturely.

Taking a step back, I focused on self-care: eating healthily, exercising, and journaling about my feelings. Surprisingly, I now feel better—able to both express and receive love. It’s true: what we carry within reflects in our external world.

When irritation creeps in, I pause and check in with myself. Sometimes grief morphs into anger, making us bitter. Reclaiming our sweetness and softness takes time, but this time, I managed it independently. I’m pleased to learn patience and positivity in dealing with life’s challenges.
